That first orthodontic visit is a big deal, whether it’s for your child or for you. There’s excitement, a bit of nervous energy, and plenty of curiosity about what comes next. At Cramer Orthodontics, our goal is to make it smooth, comfortable, and genuine, helping you feel confident about every step.

A Warm Welcome
Come inside and you’ll feel it: the friendly energy, the welcomeness, and a sense that everyone actually likes being here. Kristin will greet you with a smile, help you check in, and make sure you’re settled.
Then Kim, our treatment coordinator (sweet as they come!), will bring you to the exam room. She’ll take a few photos, a digital scan, or an X-ray if needed, chatting the whole time to get to know you and what brought you here.
Meet Dr. Cramer
Dr. Cramer starts with an unrushed conversation, not a clipboard. He’ll pull up a chair, speak kindly, and ask the questions that matter.
He’s just as easy talking with a shy teen as he is with an adult balancing work and family. The first visit starts with understanding your goals; whether it’s helping your kid feel confident at school or finally loving your own smile in photos.
After reviewing your scans and having a look at your teeth, he’ll show you what he sees and explain your options in plain language. Sometimes the best move is to start right away; sometimes, it’s to simply wait and see how your teeth change on their own. Either way, you’ll go home knowing what’s possible and what makes the most sense for you.
He might even play a game with you on the Nintendo before you leave!
Moving Forward
If you decide to move forward, we’ll walk through the plan together: see what the process looks like, what your role is, and how we’ll help along the way.
We’ll share practical advice (like which foods to avoid or how to keep aligners on track), but never as a lecture. Life happens; our job is to keep you smiling through it.

Money talk doesn’t have to be awkward. We handle it the same way we handle everything else: honestly, and with your best interest at heart.
How Payments Work
Before treatment begins, we’ll go over everything together so you know exactly what to expect. Your fee depends on your case, not how often you visit.
There’s an initial payment when we take records, and the rest can be spread across treatment, with flexible options to fit your budget.
Insurance & Transparency
Insurance can help with part of the cost, and we’ll take care of the paperwork for you. You’ll always know what’s covered, what’s not, and when payments are due.
If something comes up (like a lost retainer or broken appliance) we’ll tell you upfront what it costs to replace.
Sensory-Friendly Care
Everyone deserves to feel comfortable and understood at the orthodontist. Our team is trained to support patients with sensory sensitivities, autism, brain injuries, and other needs with patience, gentleness, and respect. We adjust the environment, pace, and communication style to fit each person, and we even speak ASL! Whether it’s dimming the lights, explaining every step, or simply taking things slow, we’ll make sure your visit feels safe and supportive.
