Meet Dr. Chris Cramer, DDS, MS, MBA

Board-Certified Orthodontist | Engineer at Heart | Guided by Faith and Family

From Engineer to Orthodontist

Before ever picking up a dental mirror, Dr. Cramer spent 13 years as a mechanical engineer for Motorola. He loved solving problems and building things that worked perfectly, but he missed the human side of it all. He wanted to make a difference that could be seen in someone’s confidence and heard in their laughter.

“One thing I’m passionate about is helping people feel better about themselves”.

That led him back to school at Texas A&M / Baylor College of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery, Master of Science in Oral Biology, and Certificate in Orthodontics. His research on ways to safely speed up tooth movement earned him the Harry Sicher Research Award, one of the highest distinctions in orthodontic research. That drive for innovation still shapes how he practices today; always searching for better, more comfortable, and more efficient ways to help you smile!

A Leader Who Serves

Dr. Cramer’s commitment to doing what’s right extends beyond his own practice. He’s dedicated countless hours to advancing laws and standards that protect patients and ensure they receive ethical, transparent care.

Texas State Dental Board Review Committee

one of only nine dentists in the state trusted to review cases and uphold professional integrity and high standards for safe dental care.

Past President of the Texas Orthodontic Association

where he advocated for laws that protect patients from unsafe dental practices.

Council Member on Government Affairs for the American Association of Orthodontists

where he works to shape policies that support transparency and patient trust.

Board-Certified Orthodontist

As a board-certified orthodontist (a distinction achieved by only about one in four orthodontists), he holds himself to a level of accountability that patients can feel. All those fancy titles just mean that every smile he helps shape rests on integrity, safety, and genuine care.

Faith, Family, and Community

Dr. Cramer is guided by the sacred bond of Family, the unwavering strength of Faith, and the satisfaction of creation. He is a True Craftsman, shaping both his home life and his community with the same dedication and meticulous care he applies to every smile he lovingly works on.

Family First

Married to Kelley for almost 30 years, proud father of twin daughters Courtney and Kerry, both students at Texas A&M

Service & Faith

Dr. Cramer’s faith is what grounds him in gratitude and reminds him why kindness matters: in the office, at home, and in the community he loves.

A True Craftsman

Enjoys woodworking in the garage, creating with his hands just like he does with smiles.

Fun Q&A With Dr. Cramer

I’m what I like to call a functional woodworker; I love fixing things and making them useful again. One of my favorite projects was repairing a step stool that belonged to my wife’s dad, then building matching ones for our daughters. I’ve also built wooden trim around our windows, restored a 100-year-old mahogany dining table (added walnut feet!), and even turned my mother-in-law’s armoire into a computer station.

Hanging out with my wife and girls, I have the best wife and daughters! We’re really close, and I’m grateful for that.

I’m a big corny fan of Stayin’ Alive by the Bee Gees (hah ah ah ah!).

I’ve got college-age daughters who keep me updated. The other day they said, “We decided to dip,” which I now know means “to leave.”

“Rizz” — I don’t know if I have rizz, but I know what it means!

"Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about me. Please know that I look forward to meeting and learning more about you, too!"
