When Jaw Surgery Felt Inevitable

One college student came to Dr. Cramer after being told jaw surgery was likely the only way to correct her bite. Because her front teeth did not touch properly, excessive pressure was being placed on her back teeth every time she chewed.

Rather than immediately moving toward surgery, Dr. Cramer developed a carefully planned orthodontic approach to improve the way her teeth fit together over time. By the end of treatment, she achieved a healthy, balanced bite without the need for jaw surgery.

Coordinated Care for a Balanced Smile

A teenage patient came to Dr. Cramer feeling self-conscious about her smile, especially because two upper side teeth were noticeably smaller, which made her smile appear uneven in photos and everyday interactions.

Dr. Cramer used braces to improve alignment and build a healthier foundation, then worked closely with her general dentist to enhance the proportions of the smaller teeth with veneers.

When treatment was complete, she immediately noticed the difference in how balanced and natural her smile looked, which made her feel much more comfortable showing her smile in photos and social settings.
